Ever Wanted to be an Actor or Actress?

“Mystery Shopping”

When you hear the above two little words what comes to your mind? Is it Scam?  Rip off? Yeah, right? or maybe the things that come to mind are “get lots of things free?”,  have free cruises? Lot’s of fun things to do for free?

Well no, it is neither.

While it is true that some people have gotten ripped off, it is important to know where to go to get the correct information and never pay for lists  or fees to enter your name on a list. These are scams.

I have investigated and worked as a mystery shopper since 2007. There are a lot of companies that are legitimate and actually pay wages for your work.

Someone is watching

I can and will help anyone that would like to give this a try. I’ll help you find the places to go and show you how to get the better paying shops. There is no charge for helping or giving advice. Just let me know and I can get you started. Use the contact form on the Mystery Shopping Page on the navigation barhot dog tray

In fact, if anyone charges you to put your name in, or if they ask you to cash a check and send a large part of it to some place else, you can bet it is a SCAM! If they try to sell you a list of companies that use mystery shoppers, don’t pay for it. It is free and obtainable to anyone and everyone.

Learn how to get shops to do and the ones to stay away from and why you should. I hate to see someone get ripped off, don’t you? Some shops you will have to spend money up front.  Most of them you get reimbursed and if you don’t, it is listed in the shop description. I’ll tell you which ones reimburse. I hardly do those anymore, because it can get expensive even if you do get paid back.

Is Mystery Shopping for You?

This is typically a good place to start. You need to know if this is something that will work for you and if it is something that you would like to do. It can be fun, and it can sometimes be a pain in the neck. What job isn’t?

Let me ask you some questions. Keep track of your answers so you can weigh the good and the bad.

You will never be penalized for not accepting any job since you work for yourself.

Do you want to work when you want to?

Do you want to say that you don’t want to work that day?

Do you need income? How much income do you need?

Do you need part time or full time work?

How many miles do you want to go to do jobs?    Traveling gives you more opportunities for several jobs in the same area. You will be a private contractor so you are responsible for paying your own way to and from work.

Have you ever wanted to be an actor/actress?

Do you like people?   Do you have a good eye for detail?      shhh

If you love to write, if you love people, if you love to shop, if you have an eye for details, if you have a good memory, or if you have ever wanted to be an actor, then mystery shopping might be something you will love.

If you have a desire to be your own boss and work your own hours, turn down jobs with no penalty; then just try taking a few shops to see if you like shopping. If you don’t absolutely love it, there’s no loss of money, and there’s no loss of time for education. Whether you want to work once or twice a month, or every day, you’d be a shopper. I would like to share my experiences with anyone who thinks that they might enjoy this avenue of part time or full time work.

What Mystery Shopping is Not

When you hear the words “mystery shopping” what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Is it “Scams, fraud, thieves?”  Maybe you think of “free gifts, large amounts of wages and money to buy products”? Does it bring to your mind things such as “trying new products and keeping them, or taking free cruises?”

To be honest about it, there are those in this field that are disreputable and may make promises such as these. Some people who are looking into mystery shopping sometimes find these dishonest offers and fall for them. They are told that they have to pay to learn the information to get yourself a license, or try to sell you a list of companies. Well, you need to know right now that not one thing mentioned so far has anything to do with mystery shopping.

There are no companies that I know of that make any offers listed above. There are no large wages, there are no benefits and there is no company that I know of that gives you anything from any company. If you find a company that does give away vacations please let me know. I do need the vacation and the money.

I certainly would like to go to work for them too. You don’t need to pay for a list of companies, and there is no license needed in most states.

Questions to Ask Yourself

Now this may leave you with more questions than answers but read on and see what it entails. See if this is something you might like to do to make some extra money, or just do this for fun.  Did you ever dream of being an actress when you were growing up? Do you like to observe people? Have you got an eye for details? Do you like writing little stories? If you would enjoy doing any of the things above you may be suited for this line of work. If you would like to learn more about mystery shopping just keep reading and I’ll let you know what it is, and basically how to do this.

If you need extra money or a couple of hours away from the kids in the evening then this may be for you. Do need to make a living or just a part time job? Do you want to have fun? These traits coupled with wanting to make some extra money are what is needed to fill a job such as this job demands. Other qualities it takes is being able to think on your feet, being honest. You are not looking for an argument or a reason to make someone look foolish. These are the things that would make mystery shopping interesting for you, and a good shopper for any company.

I can help you to learn how to make a hobby of shopping, or make a living by shopping. Just a little secret between you and me… there is NO charge for it. In fact, if there is a fee or charge for any information, it is a scam. So keep your dignity by not paying any company for a list of companies or membership to their database. It’s simple; if it costs money to get information or join, it is a scam.

There are many legitimate companies that you can to sign up with. Every shop I have done I have gotten paid for exactly what was agreed. It is fun, you won’t get rich, but you can earn a decent living if you are willing to put some effort into it. There’s a lot to be said about being organized. Don’t under estimate organization. Being organized helps in two ways. It is for keeping your schedule in order by not over booking shops. By being organized you will also keep your sanity.

Now, if you would like to learn how to get started. Just fill out the contact form below. You won’t have to go searching and researching companies. I’ve already done that. I shopped from 2007 and shop myself now.  In fact, I will help you to get personal invitations to the better paying jobs these tips work for me and they will work for you too.
You do have to work, it isn’t all fun there is also some work involved. Don’t let anyone tell you that it only takes 10 minutes to complete the evaluations; it can take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour or 2 for some that have a lot of narratives to write but if you are a whiz, it may take only a few minutes.

The invitations will begin to arrive after you have proved yourself to be a dependable and professional shopper. After you fill out the contact form, I will be in touch with you and help get you started. You must sign up with each company, but I can tell you how to shorten that boring job too. There is no charge for signing up with any company.
